Noone Named Academic All-Patriot League
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Suzanne Noone of the Holy Cross field hockey team has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as announced by the league Wednesday.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must possess a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 and be a starter or key reserve in his or her sport.
Noone, an English major with a 3.52 GPA, is receiving the honor for the first time, but she is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. She was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team this year as well. Noone was second on the team this season with three goals and four assists for 10 points. Her goals came in wins over Colgate and Lehigh as well as in a loss to Bucknell. Her four assists led the team. In her career, Noone has totaled eight goals and nine assists for 25 points.
The Crusaders finished their season last Sunday, Oct. 28 at home against Quinnipiac. The squad just missed out on a spot in the Patriot League playoffs and will look to rebound next season.
The voting for the All-Academic squad is done by the League’s field hockey sports information directors, who could not vote for their own student-athletes.
