Women's Soccer Wraps Season with 2-1 Loss to Lehigh
WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Carly Flahive scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season, but the Holy Cross women’s soccer team was defeated by Lehigh 2-1 at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 5-12 overall and 3-6 in the Patriot League with the loss, while the Mountain Hawks improve to 6-11 on the season and 3-6 in the conference.
Holy Cross opened the scoring in the 15th minute, when Flahive headed in a corner kick by senior forward Ang Seslija. Lehigh came back to tie up the score at 1-1 in the 28th minute, when Kayla Arestivo scored from 18 yards out on the right wing off a feed from Maggie Wadsworth. Neither team would score again until the 85th minute, when Sidonie Warnecker knocked home a pass from Courtney Supp to give the Mountain Hawks the lead for good.
The 2018 season is now complete for the Crusaders.
