Caroline McCaughey Elevated to Assistant Coach
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross women’s rowing James Diggins ’50 Graduate Assistant Caroline McCaughey has been promoted to assistant coach, as announced by head coach Patrick Diggins and director of athletics Nathan Pine.
“We're excited to have Caroline move into the assistant coach position,” said Diggins. “She is a great asset to our team. The student-athletes and I are very happy to see all of her efforts rewarded. We are sure that she will continue to make our team better every day.”
McCaughey is entering her third season with the Crusaders, where she has served as the James Diggins ’50 Graduate Assistant for the past two seasons.
McCaughey was a standout rower at Villanova and served as a captain in her senior campaign. She also served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
McCaughey is a 2016 graduate of Villanova with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Political Science and Psychology.
The women’s rowing team will continue their fall season on Oct. 21 when they race at The Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.
