Ian Farley Named Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head men’s lacrosse coach Peter Burke has announced the hiring of Ian Farley as an assistant coach and the team's offensive coordinator. 


"I am very excited for Coach Farley to be joining the Holy Cross men's lacrosse program,” said Burke. With his experience and knowledge, Coach Farley will do a great job leading our team as the offensive coordinator, and he will bring great energy and enthusiasm that fits great with our team culture and vision for the future."  


Farley comes to Holy Cross after serving as the volunteer assistant coach at Sacred Heart. Farley also served as an assistant coach at Marist during the 2017 season and at John Carroll University in the 2016 season. With the Pioneers, Farley worked with the faceoff unit, managed substitution, and worked with the team’s offense. At Marist, the assistant coach helped the team to a 10-win season and the faceoff unit to a winning percentage of 53%. Farley assisted in guiding John Carroll to a Division III NCAA Tournament appearance.


“I am thankful and honored for the opportunity to join the Holy Cross family,” said Farley. “I am excited to begin developing relationships with the players and community. I want to thank Peter Burke for giving me this opportunity along with Jon Basti, the Sacred Heart University’s staff, amongst others for the support and guidance that I have been given.”


Farley is a 2015 graduate of Sacred Heart, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sports management. At Sacred Heart, Farley posted 19 points in his senior season and scored 15 goals.
