Women's tennis falls to Mount Holyoke

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s tennis team lost to Mount Holyoke, 6-1, Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Eleanor Fulghum claimed Holy Cross’ only point of the night with a 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-7 victory at No. 4 singles.
  • Katya Martin came close at No. 2 singles, falling 2-6, 6-3, 5-10.
  • Sophia Papa, Meg O'Melveny, and Emma DeFrancesco all won at least two games in each set of their respective singles matches, but would ultimately fall.
  • Mount Holyoke would claim all three doubles matches to take the point there as well.

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders finish their fall season at the Connecticut College Tournament this Sunday, Oct. 9.
