Men's Tennis Comes Up Short Against Babson
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men’s tennis team lost to Babson, 8-1, Saturday afternoon. Henry Harrs claimed the lone victory for the Crusaders, while two other matches went to three sets and one doubles match went to a tiebreaker.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Harrs won his match at No. 6 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.
- At No. 1 singles, Will Chen won the first set, 7-6 (9-7), before falling in the next two, 1-6, 4-6.
- Alexander Ruenhorst also forced a third set, but ultimately fell in No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-3, 6-3.
- Peter Campito and Matthew Slowinski put up a good fight at No. 1 doubles but lost, 8-7 (7-2).
The Crusaders will begin Patriot League play next Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m. against Colgate.
