Bryant started to chip away, going on an 8-2 run to cut within nine points with 2:30 to go; freshman Oluchi Ezemma put the Crusaders back up by double digits with a layup, but the Bulldogs continued to press, and cut within seven points with 26 seconds remaining. As time expired in the half, Manis hit a buzzer-beating shot to give Holy Cross a nine-point lead, 43-34, after two quarters.

Junior Nicole Morris hit a three on Holy Cross's first possession of the third quarter, and from there, the Crusaders led by double digits for the remainder of the game. After the lead grew to 22 points, 63-41, with 3:51 to go, Bryant went on an 8-0 run to close out the quarter.

That run continued into the fourth quarter as Holloway hit a pair of free throws 10 seconds in; Manis stopped the scoreless streak by converting on a layup 14 seconds later. Holy Cross led by 17 or more points the rest of the game; Morris connected with senior Maggie Locke on a pair of late baskets to put an exclamation point on the win.
