Women's Swimming and Diving Tops Manhattan, Falls to Sacred Heart
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s swimming and diving team defeated Manhattan College, 223-61, but fell to Sacred Heart University, 157-140, Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, Conn. The Crusaders won eight events on the day and broke a pool record in the medley relay.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Isabella Miko-Rydzaj, Caroline Body, Brianna Larnard, and Kayleigh Hoagland broke the pool record in the 400 medley relay by posting a 4:02.04 to take first place.
- Miko-Rydzaj and Body both took home two individual first place finishes as well. Miko-Rydzaj won the 200 fly with a 2:09.79 and the 200 IM with a 2:14.11. Body claimed first in the 100 and 200 breast with a 1:09.79 and a 2:32.56 respectively.
- Casey Sherman took first in the one-meter dives in both the five dive and six dive formats with scores of 159.85 and 239.60.
- Leah Zogby was victorious in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:07.33.
The Crusaders will compete in the Harold Anderson Invitational from Nov. 16-18.
