Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross earned two Patriot League honors this week. Junior Caitlin Paluilis (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been named the Patriot League women's cross country Runner of the Week, for her performance at the New England Championship where she took an astonishing 21st place out of 299 competitors. Paluilis finished the race at a time of 18:55, bringing in 72 points for her team.
Freshman, Rose Calvo (Rocky Hill, Conn.) earned the female Rookie of the Week award for her performance this weekend at the New England Championship meet. She was the second athlete from the team to cross the finish line with a place of 72nd at a time of 19:41.
Both Calvo's and Paluilis's performances this weekend helped lead their team to a finish of 10th place out of 44 teams in the New England Championship meet.
