Women's Cross Country Concludes Season At ECAC Championship

- The Holy Cross women's cross country team concluded the 2012 season at the ECAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 17. Four members of the team ran at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Freshman Caroline Carley (Barrington, Ill.) led the team, finishing 34th of 177 runners with a time of 19:31.2 on the 5K course.
- Junior Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) was the top team finisher in every race she competed in this season. She recorded her best time at the New England Championship on Oct. 7 with a time of 18:01.28. Her highest finish came at the National Catholic Invitational on Sept. 14, taking 23rd of 266 runners (18:20.3).
- Hughes and Carley were the only Crusaders to be recognized by the league this season. Hughes earned Patriot League Runner of the Week and Carley took home Patriot League Rookie of the Week for action Oct. 1-7. It was the second time Hughes has been recognized in her career, taking Rookie of the Week for her performance at the 2010 New England Championship. It was the first career honor for Carley.
