BRONX, N.Y. – The Holy Cross women's cross country team wrapped up the 2011 season with an 16th place finish at the 27th ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Saturday afternoon. Albany took home the team title in the 5k event, led by Kathryn Fanning won the individual championship in a time of 18:06.
Holy Cross was led by sophomore Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) with an 11th place finish and time of 18:40. Fellow sophomore Sandra van den Heuvel (Nashua, N.H.) was the next Crusader to cross the line, finishing in 53rd place with a time of 19:25. Freshman Abigail Mitchell (Manchester, N.H.) finished 158th at 21:04, followed by sophomore Vicki Tiedemann (Bay Shore, N.Y.) in 179th place with a time of 21:39. Finishing in the 184th place was junior Katie Rochford (Red Bank, N.J.) with a time of 21:41 and rounding out the Crusader competitors was sophomore Kerry Dunne (Mendham, N.J.) who finished the race in 193rd place with a time of 22:05.
The Holy Cross women's cross country team has concluded the 2011 season.
