Women’s Cross Country Back In Action This Week

Schedule: Friday, Oct. 21 at the Central Connecticut Mini Meet, New Britain, Conn., 4:00 p.m.

  • The Holy Cross women's cross country team will continue training this week for the Patriot League Championships at the end of the month.
  • Coach Kavanagh will bring runners from his squad to the Central Connecticut Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 21st for a final tune-up prior to the Oct. 29 Patriot League Championships. The women's 3K race will take place at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn.
  • During their last competition, senior Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) placed 18th to lead the Holy Cross women's cross country team to a seventh place finish at the New England Championship. Boston College took home the team title while the Crusaders finished with 268 points.
  • For her accomplishments at the New England Championship, Sutherland was named Patriot League Female Runner of the Week. This is the fifth time in her career that Sutherland has received this honor.
