Crusaders Finish Eighth At UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Freshman Samantha Schuetz (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) came in 35th with a time of 19:38, as the Holy Cross women's cross country team finished in eighth place at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational. The Crusaders ended the meet with a team total of 282 points, while MIT came in first with 25 points. The top individual finisher was MIT's Brooke Johnson in a time of 17:55.

Holy Cross' other top finishers after Schuetz were sophomore Liz Crowley (Southborough, Mass.) in 44th place (19:55), sophomore Vicki Tiedemann (Bay Shore, N.Y.) in 48th place (19:59) and senior Katelyn Andree (Colts Neck, N.J.) in 76th place (20:27).

The Crusaders will have next weekend off, before returning to action at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., on Sept. 30.
