Women's Cross Country Places 15 On PL Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. - Fifteen members of the Holy Cross women's cross country team have been named to the 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll announced today by the league. Senior Allison Fimognari (Wilbraham, Mass.) was named to the honor roll for the fourth consecutive year. Fimognari, an English major, led the team with a 3.85 grade point average in the fall semester.
Senior Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.), along with juniors Elizabeth Humphries (Siler City, N.C.) and Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, N.J.) were named to the honor roll for the third time. Earning the honor for the second time in their careers was senior Martha Quinn (Frankfurt, Germany), junior Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) and sophomore Lizzie Harkins (Latrobe, Pa.). Senior Rose Calvo (Rocky Hill, Conn.), sophomores Emma Healy (Newark, Del.) and Katie Rochford (Red Bank, N.J.), along with freshmen Liz Crowley (Longmeadow, Mass.), Beth Fullerton (Bradford, Mass.), Mary Fullerton (Bradford, Mass.), Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) and Vicki Tiedemann (Bay Shore, N.Y.) earned the honor for the first time.
A total of 116 student-athletes from eight Patriot League schools were named to the honor roll. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be a member of the school's team in one of the seven Patriot League-sponsored fall championship sports.
