Women's Cross Country Concludes 2010 Season

  • The Holy Cross women's cross country team wrapped up the 2010 season with an 11th place finish at the ECAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 20 in Bronx, N.Y.
  • At the ECAC Championship, freshman Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) was Holy Cross' top finisher with an 18th place finish and time of 18:55.5. Hughes also recorded a top team finish at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational when she placed first in the junior varsity race and led the team with a time of 18:27. 
  • Junior Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) wraps up the season with seven top finishes for the Crusaders, moving her career total up to 20 of 21career races.
  • Seniors Rose Calvo (Rocky Hill, Conn.), Allison Fimognari (Wilbraham, Mass.), Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.), Stephanie John (Worcester, Mass.), Kathleen Kasper (Worcester, Mass.), Emily Nassetta (New London, Conn.) and Martha Quinn (Frankfurt, Germany) concluded their careers on the cross country course for Holy Cross, but all seven will compete as members of the Holy Cross track and field team this winter and spring.
