Women’s Cross Country Takes 21st At NCAA Northeast Regional
MADISON, Conn. – Senior Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) finished 73rd overall to lead the Holy Cross women's cross country team at the NCAA Northeast Regional Saturday afternoon. Syracuse led the team competition, while Stony Brook's Lucy Van Dalen finished first overall with a time of 19:38.
Sutherland finished with a time of 21:46 to claimed 73rd place overall and lead the Crusaders. Junior Elizabeth Humphries (Siler City, N.C.)was the second Crusader to finish, placing 121st with a time of 22:27. Senior Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.) and freshman Emily Hughes (Milton, Mass.) both finished in the 22nd minute, Imse in 130th with a time of 22:33 and Hughes in 133rd with a time of 22:36. Sophomore Lizzie Harkins (Latrobe, Pa.)was Holy Cross' final point scorer, finishing in 156th with a time of 23:05.3.
Holy Cross wraps up the 2010 season next weekend, Nov. 20, at the ECAC Championship in Bronx, N.Y.
