NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Junior Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) finished 10th to lead the Holy Cross women's cross country team to an eighth place finish Friday afternoon at the National Catholic Championship hosted by Notre Dame. Host Notre Dame won the team competition with 41 points.
Sutherland finished 10th with a time of 18:05 to lead the Crusaders. Senior Rose Calvo (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished 42nd with a time of 18:58, senior Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.) placed 51st with a time o f 19:14 and sophomore Lizzie Harkins (Latrobe, Pa.) placed 56th with a time of 19:16.
Holy Cross continues competition at UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday, Sept. 18. The race is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.
