Former Crusader Alexandra Swiatocha Wins Anchorage’s Mayor's Marathon

WORCESTER, Mass. – Former Crusader distance runner Alexandra Swiatocha won the 37th annual Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska on Saturday, June 19. Swiatocha cut 20 minutes off of her personal best time to win the event with a time of 3:06:30. Swiatocha, a 2009 graduate of Holy Cross, is spending the year in Anchorage with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and working at the Providence Extended Care Center.

Swiatocha ran on the Holy Cross cross country and track and field teams, competing in the 800 along with the heptathlon and pentathlon. She was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll twice.
