WORCESTER, Mass. - Eleven members of the Holy Cross women's cross country team have been named to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll announced today by the league. Junior Allison Fimognari (Wilbraham, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a 3.78 grade-point average. Fimognari, an English major, was named to the honor roll for the third time.
Seniors Ariana Coniglio (Revere, Mass.), Sarah Croteau (Westminster, Mass.), Meghan Dunne (Mendham, N.J.), Margaret Fox (Natick, Mass.) and Claire Luke (Delmar, N.Y.) were named to the honor roll. Also named to the honor roll were juniors Christine Moran (Rindge, N.H.) and Martha Quinn (Frankfurt, Germany), sophomores Elizabeh Humphries (Siler City, N.C.) and Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, N.J.) and freshman Lizzie Harkins (Latrobe, Pa.).
A total of 102 student-athletes from eight Patriot League schools were named to the honor roll. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be a member of the school's team in one of the seven Patriot League-sponsored fall championship sports.
