Schedule: Saturday, Nov. 14, NCAA Northeast Regional, Bronx, N.Y., 10:00 a.m.
- After a week break, the Holy Cross women's cross country team returns to action Saturday, Nov. 14 at the NCAA Northeast Regional in Van Cortland Park in Bronx, N.Y. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
- The Crusaders finished fifth at the Patriot League Championship on Oct. 31, one slot higher than their predicted finish in the conference's preseason poll. Sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) once again was the top Holy Cross performer, as she took second with a time of 22:54.6. Her performance earned her first team All-Patriot League honors. She's just the eighth runner in program history to be so honored, and the first since 1998. Her second-place performance also tied Nancy Sullivan's mark for highest individual finish by a Crusader at the Patriot League Championship. Sullivan first did it in 1990, the first year the League sponsored women's cross country.
- Youth is reigning for the Crusaders. Three of the top five Holy Cross finishers at the Patriot League Championship two weeks ago were underclassmen. In addition to Sutherland, sophomores Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, N.J.) and Elizabeth Humphries (Siler City, N.C.) were the top Crusader runners.
- Holy Cross finished 21st out of 34 schools at last year's NCAA Northeast Regional. Sutherland, Humphries and Imse were three of the Crusaders' top five finishers at the event.
