ORONO, Maine - The Boston College women's cross country team placed five runners in the top ten to claim the team title at the Murray Keatinge Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a 14th place finish as Holy Cross finished in fifth place.
Sutherland finished the 5k with a time of 17:58.16 and was the top Holy Cross runner for the third consecutive time this season. Junior Jacqueline Imse (Simsbury, Conn.) finished in 32nd place with a time of 18:43.66 and sophomore Sarah Mellea (North Arlington, N.J.) crossed the line in 38th place with a time of 18:59.41. Sophomore Elizabeth Humphries (Siler City, N.C.) and senior Claire Luke (Delmar, N.Y.) finished in 45th and 46th with times of 19:08.39 and19:09.22 respectively.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 when they travel to Boston, Mass. for the New England Championship.
