Women's Cross Country Heads North After A Break
Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 3, at Murray Keatinge
Invitational, Orono, Maine, 10:00 a.m.
- The Holy Cross women's cross country team will travel to Orono,
Maine for the Murray Keatinge Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3. The
event is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. The Crusaders look to
improve on last year's performance in the event when they finished
seventh of seven.
- Last season at the Murray Keatinge Invitational, sophomore
Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) was the second
Crusader to cross the line with a time of 18:54.09. It was
Sutherland's only race of the season that she was not the top Holy
Cross performer. This season, Sutherland continues to lead the
Crusaders, as she has been the top Holy Cross performer in both
races that she has competed.
- Holy Cross' newcomers are helping
pace this season's performances. Nine newcomers have competed for
the Crusaders this season. Freshman Stephanie Bray
(Fairfax, Va.) was the top rookie performer at the Blue
Devil Invitational and the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, while
freshman Elizabeth Harkins (Latrobe, Pa.) was the
top rookie finisher at the National Catholic Championship.
