Women's Cross Country Finishes 13th At UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Senior co-captain Meghan Dunne (Mendham, N.J.) finished in 43rd with a personal-best 19:22 to lead Holy Cross to a 13th-place finish at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational in Dartmouth, Mass. The effort wraps up a strong performance for the Crusaders this weekend where they also finished fourth at the National Catholic Championship in Notre Dame, Ind.

Freshman Stephanie Bray (Fairfax, Va.) followed closely behind for Holy Cross. She finished the 5k in 50th with a time of 19:32. Freshman Katherine Rochford (Red Bank, N.J.) was the third runner across the line for the Crusaders. She completed the race in 19:57 and finished in 71st place.

Jacqui Wentz of MIT crossed the finish line first and also led her team to first place overall. Brandeis finished second overall, with Keene St., Stonehill and Adelphi filling out the top five. MIT and Brandeis each had four runners finish in the top 20.

Holy Cross is next in action Saturday, Oct. 3 when it travels to Orono, Maine to participate in the Murray Keatinge Invitational. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
