Schedule: Friday, Oct. 3 vs. Colgate, Worcester, Mass., 7:00 p.m.The Holy Cross volleyball team (1-13, 0-2) will host Patriot League matches at the Holy Cross Field House on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4. On Friday, the Crusaders will play Colgate at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday, they will meet Bucknell at 4:00 p.m. After this past weekend, Colgate has a 1-1 record in the conference and a 5-9 overall mark, while Bucknell has a 1-1 league record and a 5-10 overall mark.
Senior co-captain Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) now has 1,005 career digs, making her only the fourth Crusader to ever record 1,000 career digs.
Junior co-captain Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) has recorded double-digit kills in nine straight matches. Her 2.84 kills per set lead the team and are ranked 10th in the Patriot League.
Sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) is averaging 7.20 assists per set, which are fifth in the conference.
Sophomore libero Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) leads the team with 3.30 digs per set, which are ranked fifth in the Patriot League.
Colgate is led by senior Katrina Zawojski's 3.72 kills per set and junior Meghan Fanta's 8.86 assists per set, while senior Jackie Adlam has 4.09 digs per set and Colgate leads the Patriot League in digs per set with 13.85. Zawojski holds the Colgate career record for kills with 1,475 and she is currently ranked second in the Patriot League in kills per set. Fanta is ranked third in the conference in assists per set, while Adlam is tied for first in the league in digs per set.
Bucknell is led by sophomore Kaitlin Segal's 3.38 kills per set and senior Shannon Pitsch's 6.06 assists per set. Segal is ranked fifth in the league in kills per set and Pitsch is ranked sixth in assists per set. Freshman Emily Sawanobori leads the team with 3.05 digs per set, which are seventh in the Patriot League.
