American defeats Holy Cross

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross volleyball team was defeated by American in three games, (30-25, 30-28, 30-15), Friday night at the Field House.

The Crusaders were led by senior Caitlin Agostinacchio (Bellmore, N.Y.), who posted a game-high 12 kills and added five digs.

Senior Michelle Leahy (Andover, Mass.) tallied 20 assists while sophomore Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) posted a game-high 10 digs.

The Eagles were led by Natacha Cornaz and Cutrina Biddulph, who each registered 10 kills. Setter Courtney Mulford recorded 31 assists, while Sabrina Vasconcelos totaled seven digs.

With the win American stays undefeated in the Patriot League with nine wins and is 16-5 overall while the Crusaders fall to 4-17 overall and 3-6 in the Patriot League with the loss.

Holy Cross' last home game will be held at the Field House and is schedule for Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. , against Navy for Senior Night.
