Crusaders bow to Bucknell

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross volleyball team was defeated by Bucknell, 1-3, in four games (30-22, 28-30, 30-15, 30-28), Friday evening at the Hart Recreation Center.

Two seniors led the Crusaders with double-doubles. CaitlinAgostinacchio (Bellmore, N.Y.) posted her sixth double-double, registering 21 kills and 14 digs, while setter Michelle Leahy (Andover, Mass.) tallied 42 assists and 12 digs.

Sophomore Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) recorded a team-high 17 digs.

Three Bison posted double-doubles. Junior Jessica Le (Red Lion, Pa.) tallied 66 assists and 14 digs, junior Becky Fisher (Darien, Conn.) hit a team-high 22 kills and 21 digs and senior Jackie Leahy (Plainview, N.Y.) totaled a pair of 17 kills and assists.

Bison libero Carolyn Dougherty (Ellicott City, Md.) hit a game-high 25 digs.

With the win Holy Cross falls to 3-15 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League, while Bucknell improves to 10-7 overall and 4-2 in the Patriot League.

The Crusaders return to the Hart Recreation Saturday afternoon to take on Colgate at 4 p.m.
