EASTON, Pa. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lafayette, 3-0, by scores of 30-21, 30-13 and 30-20, on Friday night in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 4-20 overall (2-11 Patriot League), while the Leopards improve to 18-8 overall (9-4 Patriot League).

Junior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 13 kills and 15 digs to lead the Crusaders. Her 348 kills on the season are third on the Holy Cross all-time single-season kills list. Senior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) had 24 assists giving her 805 for the year which are good for fourth in a single-season at Holy Cross. Senior Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) was solid on defense with 14 digs.

The Leopards were led by Shannon Fisher's 12 kills and Megan Carter's 42 assists, while Michaela Donohue and Kari Horn each had 17 digs.

The Crusaders conclude the 2006 season tomorrow when they take on Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., at 4:00 p.m.
