Holy Cross Volleyball Drops Match To Army, 3-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Army, 3-0, by scores of 25-9, 25-19 and 25-18, at the Holy Cross Field House on Saturday evening in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 1-21 (0-10 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 22-3 (9-1 Patriot League).
Sophomore Rebecca DeSanti (Hampden, Mass.) led the Crusaders with seven kills, while freshman Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) had four kills. Sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 15 assists as she is now ranked fifth all-time at Holy Cross in career assists with 1,394. Junior Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) and senior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) each had five digs.
The Black Knights were led by Rachael Breinling who had 11 kills and Jamie Clark who had 10 kills. Maureen Bannon led all players with 20 assists.
The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Nov. 7, when they play at Patriot League opponent Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa., at 7:00 p.m.
