WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Hartford, 3-0, by scores of 30-17, 30-18 and 30-18 on Saturday night to conclude the 2007 Crusader Classic at the Holy Cross Field House. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-7 overall, while the Hawks improve to 4-5 overall.
Sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) led the Crusaders with 11 kills as she has recorded double-digit kills in seven of Holy Cross' 10 matches this season. Junior libero Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the team in digs with 15, while senior outside hitter Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) had eight kills and 10 digs. Freshman setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) registered 25 assists for the Crusaders.
The Hawks were led by Katie O'Hara's 10 kills and Lindsay ford's 35 assists.
The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, September 12, when they host Providence at the Holy Cross Field House at 7:00 p.m.
