Prior to her time at Holy Cross, Cady spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at New Hampshire. She had numerous responsibilities which included assisting in the creation and coordination of drills in daily practices, assisting with all phases of recruiting, coordinating advertising and fundraising for Dig Pink, and supervising and assigning responsibilities for the team manager. Cady also served as the volleyball camp coordinator. In addition, she earned coaching experience as the head coach of the Junior Olympic New Hampshire Seacoast 18 Elite team.

Cady had an outstanding playing career at New Hampshire, as she was a three-time All-America East Conference selection and a two-time team captain. In 2003 and 2005 she earned first team All-America East honors, while in 2004 she received honorable mention accolades. She also became only the fourth player in school history to record 1,000 career kills, and received the team’s 2005 Holly Young Most Valuable Player Award. Cady was also strong in the classroom as she was an Academic Scholar Athlete and a member of the Dean’s List in every season, while she won the 2004 Bill Knight Scholarship. Following graduation, Cady played professional volleyball for the SWE-Volley Team in Erfurt, Germany.

Cady earned two degrees from New Hampshire: a bachelor’s degree in sociology and justice studies in 2006 and a master’s degree in kinesiology and sports studies in 2010. Cady and her husband, Stuart, were married in 2012.
