WORCESTER, Mass. – Seven members of the Holy Cross volleyball team have been selected to the 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Freshman Natalie Welsch (Eden Prairie, Minn.) led the team with a 3.93 GPA.
Welsch was joined by junior captain Alicia Swearingen (Springdale, Ark.), junior Dana Weston (Canton, Mass.), sophomore Emily Oliver (Carlsbad, Calif.), freshman Shay Feeley (Franklin, Mass.), freshman Emily Popp (Clarkston, Mich.) and freshman Mandy Sifferlen (Sudbury, Mass.) who also earned the honor.
A total of 89 student-athletes from volleyball teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
