Crusaders Play At Florida Atlantic & Then Host Two Matches

  • The Holy Cross volleyball team returns to action on Monday, Oct. 8 when it travels to Boca Raton, Fla., to play Florida Atlantic at 6:30 p.m., at FAU Arena. The Crusaders then return home to take on Patriot League opponents Lafayette and Lehigh at the Holy Cross Field House on Oct. 12-13. On Friday, the Crusaders will play Lafayette at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday they will meet Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. Both matches can be viewed on Crusader Vision.
  • This will be the first match between the Crusaders and Florida Atlantic. The Owls are 5-11 overall and 1-5 in the Sun Belt Conference. Lafayette is 8-8 overall and 1-4 in the Patriot League. The Crusaders have won four straight matches over the Leopards. Lehigh is 6-8 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League. Holy Cross has lost eight straight to Lehigh with a 3-0 victory on Nov. 3, 2007, being its last win over the Mountain Hawks.  
  • Senior captain Elizabeth Watters (San Francisco, Calif.) is sixth in the conference with 3.95 digs per set, while senior captain Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) is eighth in the Patriot League with 2.54 kills per set. Sophomore Hannah Grace Stokes (Atlanta, Ga.) is also eighth in the league with 4.71 assists per set.
