Megan Lynch Named To Beanpot Classic All-Tournament Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) has been named to the 2012 Beanpot Classic All-Tournament team. Lynch led the team with 24 kills and also totaled 13 digs during the tournament. This is Lynch's sixth career regular season All-Tournament honor.

On Aug. 24 at the Holy Cross Field House, Lynch posted 11 kills and five digs versus Alabama, while she tallied eight kills and four digs versus Sacred Heart. Then on Aug. 25 at Northeastern's Solomon Court, she posted five kills and four digs versus Northeastern. She has 1,242 career kills and is five kills away from setting a new school record.

The Crusaders (0-3) return to action when they compete at the Central Connecticut Invitational in New Britain, Conn., on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1. The Crusaders take on Brown (0-0) on Friday at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday, Holy Cross meets Central Connecticut (1-2) at 1:00 p.m. and St. John's (3-1) at 3:30 p.m.
