LEWISBURG, Pa. – Morgan Mientus posted 15 kills and Jessica Serrato tallied 14 for the Bison as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-0, by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-19 in Patriot League action at Davis Gym on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 6-17 overall (2-5 Patriot League), while the Bison improve to 5-11 overall (2-5 Patriot League).
Junior Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) led the Crusaders with nine kills. Freshman Hannah Grace Stokes (Atlanta, Ga.) posted 23 assists, while freshman Heather Roberts (San Jose, Calif.) led the team with nine digs. Senior Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) notched seven kills and recorded a team-best two blocks. She now has 198 career blocks.
Serrato recorded a .417 hitting percentage and Mientus had a .387 hitting percentage. The Bison also had a strong performance from Kat Tauscher who posted 37 assists. Emily Sawanobori notched 15 digs.
The Crusaders return to action when they play two Patriot League matches at the Holy Cross Field House on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22. The Crusaders will take on Lehigh on Friday at 7:00 p.m., while they will meet Lafayette on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Both contests will be a part of "Pink for a Purpose" as the Crusaders are raising money for Pink Revolution.
