WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman setter Hannah Grace Stokes (Atlanta, Ga.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 26-October 2. Stokes totaled 69 assists, 13 digs, eight blocks and seven kills, as the Holy Cross volleyball team posted a 1-1 record in two matches last week.
During Friday's 3-0 victory over Navy, Stokes totaled 27 assists, six kills, three digs, three blocks and two service aces. Then in Saturday's 3-1 loss to American, she recorded 42 assists, 10 digs and five blocks. Stokes averaged 9.9 assists per set on the week, and also recorded her sixth double-double of the season during the American match.
Overall this season, Stokes has played in 18 matches and 57 sets, totaling 456 assists, 123 digs, 51 kills, 35 blocks and 18 service aces.
Holy Cross (6-13 overall, 2-2 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when it travels to Bryant for a 7:00 p.m. match.
