HAMILTON, N.Y. – Senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) set a school record for digs in a season with 442 as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Colgate, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Cotterell Court by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23, in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders conclude the season 12-21 overall (4-10 Patriot League), while the Raiders improve to 17-11 overall (10-4 Patriot League) and will play in the Patriot League Tournament. The Crusaders conclude the season with 12 wins which are their most since they went 12-16 in the 2000 season. Also their four Patriot League victories are their most since they went 6-8 in 2004.
Chisholm, who needed two digs to set the record, tallied 13. Katie Lynch held the record with 430 digs in 1999. Chisholm's 1,155 career digs are fourth all-time at the school. Sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded her 20th double-double of the season and the 27th of her career with 13 kills and 13 digs. She concludes the season with a school record 442 kills, while her 388 digs are fourth all-time. Senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied 24 assists. She concludes her career as the all-time career assists leader with 3,465. She also is third all-time in career aces with 120 and is seventh in digs with 893. O'Donnell's 1,087 assists this season are second all-time.
The Raiders were led by Kaylee Dougherty who had 14 kills, while Devon Applegate recorded 17 digs. Kaylee Fifer tallied 28 assists. Logan Keala tallied 11 digs.
