LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded her 32nd career double-double with 28 assists and 10 digs, but the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-1, on Friday evening at Davis Gym by scores of 25-18, 26-28, 25-12 and 25-16, in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 12-20 overall (4-9 Patriot League), while the Bison improve to 10-15 overall (8-5 Patriot League).
The double-double was O'Donnell's 13th of the season. Senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) led the Crusaders with 15 digs as she now has 429 digs this season which are second all-time at Holy Cross. She is two digs away from setting a new school record. Katie Lynch holds the record with 430 digs in 1999. Sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) tallied eight kills, while sophomore Liz Ashton (Milford, Mass.) recorded seven kills.
Bucknell was led by Kyleigh McAhren and Kristen Titley who each recorded 14 kills, while Rachel Rodriguez tallied a double–double with 37 assists and 12 digs. Heidi Kamp had 13 kills, while Leylin Marroquin recorded 13 digs.
The Crusaders conclude the season on Saturday, Nov. 13, when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Colgate at 3:00 p.m.
