SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bulldogs had three players with double-digit kills as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bryant, 3-1, on Saturday at the Bryant Invitational by scores of 25-18, 25-11, 13-25 and 25-17. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 4-7 overall, while the Bulldogs improve to 7-3 overall. The Crusaders conclude action at the Bryant Invitational on Saturday when they play Manhattan at 5:00 p.m.
Junior Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) led the Crusader offense with nine kills, while senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 25 assists. Three Crusaders tallied double-digit digs as sophomore Elizabeth Watters (San Francisco, Calif.) recorded 15, senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) recorded 12 and sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded 10. Sophomore Liz Ashton (Milford, Mass.) tallied six kills, while senior Rebecca DeSanti (Hampden, Mass.) led the team with four aces.
Bryant was led by Maria Scocca and Jazmin Stoner who each tallied 13 kills, while Jadith Lorenzo recorded a double-double with 31 assists and 10 digs. Nicole Percz had 10 kills.
