Volleyball Swept By Marist, 3-0

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded her sixth double-digit kills performance of the season with 10 kills, but the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Marist, 3-0, on Saturday evening at the McCann Center by scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-11. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-4 overall, while the Red Foxes improve to 4-3 overall.

Lynch also added eight digs, while senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied 20 assists and eight digs. Senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) recorded seven digs giving her 777 for her career which moves her to 10th all-time at Holy Cross. Sophomore Liz Ashton (Milford, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a career-best four blocks.

Marist was led by Grace Hill who tallied a double-double with 14 kills and 14 digs, while Katie Estes recorded 10 kills. Hanna Stoiberg tallied 23 assists and Allie Burke recorded six blocks.

These two teams play again on Sunday, Sept. 5, at noon.
