WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman volleyball player Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) has earned 2009 second team All-Patriot League accolades. This is the first time that a Crusader freshman volleyball player has received All-Patriot League honors.

Lynch had an outstanding season as she recorded 371 kills which are the second most at Holy Cross for a single-season and the most ever by a Crusader freshman. She was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice as she became only the second Crusader to earn that award. She recorded seven double-doubles and posted double-digit kills 20 times. She also either led the team or tied for the team-lead for kills 25 out of 29 matches. Lynch finished the season ranked second around the Patriot League with her 371 kills and 3.53 kills per set. She was also impressive defensively as her 233 digs and 2.22 digs per set were second on the team.

The Crusaders concluded the 2009 season with a 5-24 overall record (3-11 Patriot League).
