Women's Volleyball Falls To Army, 3-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Ariana Mankus recorded 15 kills and Malissa Gallini had 22 assists to lead the Army Black Knights to victory over the Holy Cross volleyball team, 3-0, on Saturday evening at Gillis Field House by scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-16. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 4-21 overall (2-8 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 22-3 (10-0 Patriot League). 

Freshman Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) recorded 12 kills, junior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 20 assists and freshman Elizabeth Watters (San Francisco, Calif.) had 10 digs to lead Holy Cross.

Army was led by Mankus with 15 kills, Amanda Rowell with 12 kills and Francine Vasquez with 10. Gallini recorded 22 assists and Karyn Powell had 18.

The Crusaders return to action when they play at American on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m., while they play at Navy on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m.
