  • The Holy Cross volleyball team will play three more matches this week. First, the Crusaders will travel to Smithfield, R.I., to play Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, while they will then host the Beanpot Classic at the Holy Cross Field House on Saturday, Sept. 12. The Crusaders will meet Northeastern at 12:00 p.m. and Boston College at 5:00 p.m. Last year, Holy Cross went 0-2 versus Bryant falling 3-0 and 3-1, while it lost to Northeastern and Boston College by a score of 3-0.
  • Junior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) now has 1,603 career assists moving her to fourth on the Holy Cross all-time assists list. Against Iona, she recorded her 12th career double-double with 16 assists and 12 digs. This season she has 118 assists.
  • Freshman Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) was named to the all-tournament team at the Sacred Heart Invitational for her 20 kills during the three matches. She had a season-best 12 kills versus Missouri-Kansas City. For the season, she has 33 kills and 26 digs.
  • Lynch and sophomore Kathleen Colpoys (Scituate, Mass.) each have 33 kills and 1.94 kills per set to lead the team. Colpoys led the team with 13 kills against Providence and five versus Sacred Heart. Lynch and senior Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) each had six kills against Iona, while Lynch led the team with her 12 kills versus Missouri-Kansas City. Freshman Callie Black (Fallon, Nev.) had a season-best eight kills against Hartford to lead the Crusaders.
