Three Women's Track & Field Athletes Earn League Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. - Three members of the Holy Cross women's track and field team earned Patriot League honors for competition, Dec. 8-14. Senior Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.), senior Katherine Clifford (Norwood, Mass.) and freshman Alison Nadeau (Norfolk, Mass.) were honored by the Patriot League for their performances at last weekend's Harvard Open. These are the first Patriot League Weekly honors for all three athletes.

Courtney was named Patriot League Track Performer of the Week for her performance in the 400 meter dash at the Harvard Open. Courtney finished the 400 meter dash in 58.86 seconds, placing third. Clifford earned Patriot League Field Performer of the Week for her third place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 13.66 meters and Nadeau was name Patriot League Rookie of the Week for her fifth place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.43.

Holy Cross continues competition over winter break at the Boston University Mini Series on Dec. 20, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.
