At the Alden Invitational, Junior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) set a new school record in the 300-meter dash. Pruszuko crossed the line in 42.56 seconds.
Senior Katie Clay (Beverly, Mass.) took second place in the one-mile run with a time of 5:12.58. Clay dropped 17 seconds off her time in the same race last season and moved up four places.
Senior Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.) crossed the line first in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:18.03. Last season, Courtney took second in the 500 at the Alden Invitational with a time of 1:18.52.
In the 55-meter dash senior Lesley Bautista (St. John's, Newfoundland) finished in seventh place with a time of 7.47 seconds, improving by one second over last season's eighth place finish at the Alden Invitational.
Freshman Alexandria Culkeen (Beverly, Mass.) was name rookie of the meet (field events) for her throw of 39'05" in the shot put.
The Crusaders will travel to the Harvard Open on Saturday, Dec. 13 and then continue competition over winter break at the Boston University Mini Series on Dec. 20, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.
