Track & Field Places 70 On Academic All-League Team

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's and women's track and field squads placed 70 student-athletes on the 2006 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league officials. Sophomore Marie Hickey (Mendonta Heights, Minn.) and freshman Kelly Shaw (South Windsor, Conn.) were two of just 14 female track and field student-athletes to earn 4.0 grade point averages during the spring semester. A total of 185 student-athletes were named to this year's women's honor roll, while 144 were named to the men's academic honor roll.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
