WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Elizabeth Corridan (Holliston, Mass.), a member of the Holy Cross women's track and field team, has received the John P. Cooney Memorial Award. The award was presented at the 51st Annual Varsity Club Dinner, held at the Hogan Campus Center on Saturday, May 7.
The Cooney Award is presented each year to a senior letterwinner who has performed beyond all expectations with courage, loyalty and dedication. During the course of her career with the Crusaders, Corridan has improved her mile time by over one minute, and her half mile time by almost 20 seconds. A three-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and a six-time honoree on the Dean's List, Corridan has also served as a Eucharistic Minister, and took part in the Appalachia service project and Holy Cross Cares Day.
