Crusaders Set To Run At ECAC Championships

  • At the New England Indoor Championships, the Crusaders finished in 8th place out of 32 teams with 32 points.

  • At the Championships, junior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and senior Lesley Bautista (St John's, Newfoundland.) each broke the Holy Cross school record in the 55 meter dash. Bautista broke the school record with a time of 7.39 seconds in the semi-final round of competition and then Reid followed Bautista's record breaking time with a new school record time of 7.38 seconds.

  • Select members of the Holy Cross women's track and field team will travel to Boston, Mass. on March 7-8 for the ECAC Indoor Championships starting at 9:00 a.m.

  • At the 2008 ECAC Championships, junior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.), Bautista, senior Katie Clay (Beverly, Mass.), sophomore Courtney Burgess (Dracut, Mass.), junior Maureen Meagher (Allentown, Pa.) and senior Alexandra Swiatocha (Mahopac, N.Y.) competed for the Crusaders. Pruszko took 15th in the 500 dash with a time of 1:15.41, Bautista took 10th in the pole vault with a height of 11-11.75 and the 4x800 relay team, ran by Clay, Meagher, Burgess and Swiatocha, finished 11th with a time of 9:18.12.
