Susan Daley Inducted To Holy Cross Hall Of Fame

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross Varsity Club has announced that five individuals have been selected for induction into the Holy Cross Athletic Hall of Fame. Included among the 2006 inductees is former track star Susan Daley (Class of 1992).
Daley was a standout on the Crusader women's track & field team, running in both the hurdle events and on relay teams. During her senior year, she was the Patriot League indoor champion in the 55-meter hurdles (8.45 seconds), while winning Patriot League outdoor titles in the 100-meter hurdles (14.62 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.05). Daley also won the New England outdoor title in the 100-meter hurdles as a senior, after being the New England indoor and outdoor champion in the hurdles as a sophomore. She still holds the all-time Holy Cross records in the 55-meter hurdles (8.17 seconds), the 100-meter hurdles (14.51 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.05), and was also a member of the 4x100-meter relay team which set a then-school record at the 1989 Penn Relays. Daley also received the John A. Meegan Athletic Achievement Award from the Varsity Club in 1992.
This year's other inductees are Tom Alberghini (Class of 1943, football), Kevin Greaney (Class of 1982, basketball), Genoa Grosch (Class of 1999, softball) and Nick Manzello (honorary, sports writer).
These five individuals will be formally inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 6, at the Varsity Club's annual dinner, to be held in the Hogan Campus Center.
