Dupuis, Anderson Compete At URI

Kingston, R.I. - The Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team had two representatives finish well on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the University of Rhode Island Pentathlon.

The event featured athletes from many area universities including Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

Sophomore Amanda Dupuis (East Sandwich, Mass.) finished eighth overall while recording the third longest shotput distance at 9.13 meters. She also tied for third in the high jump by clearing a height of 1.57 meters.

Dupuis' teammates, junior Kerilyn Anderson (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) completed the long jump with a distance of 4.66 meters and ran the 800-meters in 2:39.80. Overall she took 14th place in the event.

The entire women's indoor track and field team will compete tommorrow at the Alden Invitational in Providence, R.I.
