Durham, N.H. - The Holy Cross women's track and field team competed at the Wildcat Invitational II on Saturday, April 16 on the campus of the University of New Hampshire.
In the pole vault junior Jessica Fallon (Nashua, N.H.) cleared 10'11.75" to finish in second-place. Also competing was junior Courtney Walls (Tewksbury, Mass.), who placed fifth with a height of 10'00" and senior Kaitlin Palmer (Hampton, N.H.), who came in seventh, clearing 10'00".
Junior Meghan Carrette (North Reading, Mass.) placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.56, while teammate Sarah Simeone (Nashua, N.H.) finished sixth with a time of 13.88.
Junior Rebecca Cole (Barrington, R.I.) finished sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 134'10".
Freshmen Lynn Barowski (Merrimack, N.H.) leaped 16'07" to place sixth in the long jump. Classmate Amanda Dupuis (East Sandwich, Mass.) finished 10th with after jumping 15'05.50". In the triple jump, Dupuis placed sixth with a distance of 33'08.50". Senior Colleen Lahar (Quincy, Mass.) also competed in the triple jump and placed ninth after jumping 30'05.50".
Junior Emily Winacoo (Holden, Mass.) was the Crusaders' top runner in the 400-m, finishing seventh with a time of 1:00.60, while freshman Katie Spinelli (Southington, Conn.) placed ninth with a time of 1:01.49.
Freshman Kathleen O'Gorman (West Hartford, Conn.) finished seventh in the 3,000-m steeplechase with a time of 13:06.88.
Leaping to tie for seventh placed in the high jump was junior Emily Winacoo (Holden, Mass.) and Miczek, who both cleared 5'01.00". Placing eighth in the 800-m was senior Lindsey Bomar (Bristol, Conn.), who finished with a time of 2:21.85. Teammate Kara Plunkett (Topsfield, Mass.) finished 11th with a time of 2:24.21.
In the 200-m, sophomore Kaitlyn Mearn (Milton, Mass.) and Simeone finished eighth and ninth. Mearn clocked a time of 27.59, while Simeon clocked the line at 27.71.
Thrower Christie LeTarte (Lunenburg, Mass.) finished eighth in the javelin with a distance 101'08". Finishing 10th in the event was Miczek, who threw 98'07".
The Crusaders 4x100-m relay team placed third with a time of 50.68, while the 4x400-m relay team `A' finished second with a time of 4:04.91.
The Crusaders host the Holy Cross Invitational on Saturday, April 23 at the Hart Track and Field Complex.
